About My Neighbour Totoro at the West End

My Neighbour Totoro has taken the West End by storm since opening at the Gillian Lynn Theatre in Covent Garden. It's a jaw-dropping stage adaptation of Studio Ghibli's beloved animated film and if you haven't heard about it yet, consider this your sign.

Winner of 6 Olivier Awards, the show brings to life the story of sisters Satsuki and Mei as they discover a magical world of spirits and mischievous creatures in the Japanese countryside. At the centre of it all, a giant, gentle, impossibly loveable forest spirit named Totoro.

It features awe-inspiring large-scale puppetry (the team behind War Horse, no less), live performances of the iconic Ghibli songs, and direction from Phelim McDermott. It's presented by the Royal Shakespeare Company with Executive Producer Joe Hisaishi the legendary composer.
